Best bait for the ocean in the shore or beach?

i need to know what the best bait for the ocean for the shore line like for stingray and sharks or any kind else u can catch in the shore line

I agree with Guru dude but I use squid since its common in my area and it doesn't fall off easily. Switch it up and try using mussles, anchovies, h**l I caught a shark with chicken before.

Beer is pretty important while shore casting.

Well, with out knowing where you are fishing at, this is a difficult question. When we are fishing down south in the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic, we have found that shrimp works very well. You can buy it by the lbs at bait shops or you can get it from seafood stores as cocktail shrimp. it doesn't matter. When fishing from the beach, you want a wire leader with more than one hook (circle hook) attached to it. The wire leader should be attached to a heavy pyramid sinker, other wise the waves will drive your bait away. It needs to be wire because a fire with sharp teeth can just chew through it even if you hook it. You put a half shrimp on each hook and throw the line out as far as you can. Careful! If you try to throw it too hard your bait will come off. Use a side arm technique. Then set your pole in a pipe that you have planted in the beach and reel it tight. Then you can sit in your beach chair, have a beer, and just watch for a bite.
