SP- Greg Maddux

C- Mike Piazza

1B- Mark McGwire

2B- Craig Biggio

SS- Cal Ripken, Jr. or Derek Jeter

3B- Chipper Jones

LF- Rickey Henderson

CF- Ken Griffey, Jr.

RF- Tony Gwynn

for sure Griffey. Although not what he used to be he was awesome in his prime.   What about Thomas or Bagwell for first base.

A-Rod should be on that list either as SS or 3B (most likely SS as he has played the majority of his career there) and I would take Pudge over Piazza

amazing you didnt put barry bonds on your list. is it because he used roids? im sure he was not the only one in baseball to use roids. out of your list i will say piazza, mcgwire, biggio, henderson and maybe jones all used the roid! i would say bonds, and then everybody else is second. im not a bonds fan at all, because i love the pirates. poor me.lol

I just started watching MLB 5 years ago and my knowledge is limited, but I've been learning a lot, so I would say:

P: Nolan Ryan

1B: Mark McGuire

2B: Craig Biggio or Sandy Alomar, Jr.

SS: Ozzie Smith or Cal Ripken, Jr.

3B: Chipper Jones or Alex Rodriguez

LF: Barry Bonds or Rickey Henderson

CF: Ken Griffey, Jr.

RF: Tony Gwynn

C: Ivan Rodriguez or Mike Piazza

Clemons used roids,so what, probably almost every player on your list did, the best, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, Randy Johnson, Manny, A-Rod and the Yankee closer.

You certainly scored with Craig Biggio at second base; he will no doubt go done as one of the very best to play that position.   Maddux is OK; but, I'd take Nolan Ryan over him any day of the week!!

I agree with the original list at pitcher, 2B, 3B, CF, RF.

Catcher--Pudge Rodriguez is a FAR better defensive catcher than Piazza.  Since it is a defensive position, I would take him.

1st base--Pujols may be the best right-handed hitter in the game and is a superior defender.

SS--Rodriguez is a better defender than Jeter and a much greater hitter.

LF--while he can't field worth a l**k, Manny has actually been great in overall value; Henderson was better in the 80s than in the time period in question.
