Best beach for skimboarding in southern california??

i usually go to santa monica but the waves break so early. i was watching some youtube footage where the waves barely break at all and its like one big lead-in to a curling wave.

Balboa and Aliso peer at Laguna.  Steep shore lines cause late breaks.  You should be able to get up on the face of the waves as they come into the beach.

Definetly Lagoona, Paulo Prietto and tons of pros skim there.  Also try the Wedge and Cabo San Lucas ( Cabo is in Mexico)
