Howdy, Just bought a french press and grinder to use at my desk at work. I have no idea as to which type of beans I should buy and use. And I'm not a fan of anything "flavored". Just angry, angry coffee.

  1. If money is no object, get Kona coffee, Arabica or Robusto.

What's more important is how you grind your beans. You should grind the beans just before brewing and use a coarse grind so that you don't end with a cup full of sludge.

  2. I prefer Columbian coffee to me it taste smoother.  A simple choice but the best.

  3. It would probably be best to use a darker roast for a more full-bodied flavor coffee. French Presses usually make stronger coffee rather than weaker and their plungers work better with coarse-ground dark roast coffee.

  4. Ethiopian
