  1. I'd say sun conure.  At Omar's exotic birds they are SO friendly and cute and active and colorful.  The only thing is that they can bite hard!!!!   If he likes being outside and you return him back to his cage, he can bite!

    Good luck!

I have a parakeet, but I love conures too!

  2. sun conure. I know it's not one of the options but they are very friendly. and most people want them.

  3. I have a senegal parrot, she is my baby, she is 5 mos old now and loves to be cuddled of course as with any bird she has me trained well! She has her moments when she wants to be left alone,(like when she is tired and wants to sleep) when she gets frightened over something she wants to cuddle up and feel secure, she is a clown too, I visited her almost everyday while she was being weened so that we bonded and its been that way, although lately she is really bonding with my husband and likes to cuddle with him now too.

  4. I don't have green cheeks...I have a Sunday conure and I breed parrotlets. Conures are awesome, playful, and smart. They are great beginner birds. They can be noisy at times.

Parrotlets cannot scream, they are high energy birds and they bond very well with their owners.

I have one little albino parrotlet that will sit with anyone for hours. He gives kisses, loves to hide in peoples hair, and he never tries to bite. Parrotlets are easy to handle and super smart. They can even learn how to talk and perform tricks (so can the conures). Parrotlets are becoming more and more popular because they are more quiet, take up less space and are very low mantienence birds. They love to play with toys.

Conures are pretty low maintenence too, ours is a comedian- he is always doing stuff to make us laugh.  They are spunky, snuggly, and entertaining birds. Our conure demands a little more attention than our parrotlet. Our conure is a little more messy. I love all of my birds the same though. It would be a very hard decision. Maybe you could start out with a parrotlet and then in a year or so get a green cheek...then you wouldn't really have to choose!!!!
