This is really a question for your doctor.  If you are feeling imbalanced, your doctor should know so that he/she can help you.  It's common and doctors get asked about things like this everyday so you shouldn't be embarrassed to ask.

Even if you go on BC it might not solve your problem. Plus the pill works differently for everyone. Whats good for me might not be what works for you. You would have to talke to your doc and maybe try a few out before you decide whats best. If nothing makes a different and you have very serious emotional problems your doctor might perscribe an anti-depressant. If none of those help it might not be hormones at all. In that case only your doctor can tell you what to do next.
