Best bits of Barcelona??

We're going to Barcelona for a long w-end (V excited!!) all have been before, but would love some advice from people who really know and love the city - favourite haunts/hidden treasures etc .............

  1. Have you ever been in the "Tibidabo"??

    Go inside "La Sagrada Familia".... Amazing!!!

    "Parque Güell"..... Places built by Gaudí are really worth while.

    And... completely agree with PhilipL about going to visit in the evening the Fountain in Plaza España. You´ll really love it!!!

  3. For me one of the highlights was getting together with new friends from the hostel, grabbing a couple of bottles of wine, and heading to sit by those amazing fountains at Plaza Espana for the evening lightshow and music...

    Enjoy, if you've never been before in the evening, it's a nice surprise!

  5. If you want to do something new in barcelona, you should take a ferry across the mediterranean to Morroca, Africa. Its exciting, very intersting and not too expensive.

    2. A stroll by the port, where you can also enjoy great paellia

    3. Flamengo show at a place located in the rambla near the theatre, performed by sevillian dancers.

    4. Placa de Catalunya where the rambla starts and ends at the port, where yoy can also find the department store "El Corte Ingles"

    5. Camp Nou- a tour to Barcelona stadium

    6. The gothic quarter, where you can also find the cathedral

    7. Sagrada Famillia, originally built by Gaudi and still going on...!

    1) beaches : Port Olmpico & Barceloneta

    2) L'aquarium, biggest in europe(near beach)

    3) Catalunya shops (not rambla)

    4) Nou Camp (nearest station ; Collblanc blue line)

    5) Restaurant 'Dos Tres' in Cau de Paris road

    6) Tourist bureau (near Catalunya station)

    Get a underground map (called Metro) from a station, it shows most places on them. Looks like a london tube map. Guaranteed fun
