I want some board games that will make us have to think, hopefully learn something, and keep us interested. We are all adults, unfortunately, there is only 3 of us, so teams are impossible. Any recommendations? Thank you in advance!

  1. If you like word games, scrabble works very well for three players.

  2. Scattagories (not sure if thats how you spell it though)

    Boggle

    Password

    Taboo

    Mastermind

    Cranium

  3. Scrabble is very good. Quite educational. I suggest that you have a good dictionary on hand to keep everyone honest.

  4. i love paly board games....the most i like is word puzzle...who can make a lot words that his/her won....its very interesting games...and also fun...suitable for all age.....try it i can guarantee its the best one....

    Good Luck

  5. Trivial Pursuit...its the best, there's lots of editions so you can pick one that interest you, or just a general one.  Also Scattergories is fun.  Rummikub is also a good one, its like rummy, but with tiles and more challenging.

  6. Go for Scrabble, it's lasted a long time and it's a classic.

  7. monopoly maybe if its for about 1 hour

but the game clue is very interesting

    yea

    good luck

  8. Ohhhhh, I am such a fan of Parcheesi, it is a great and totally pissing off game. You can block players from advancing, send them home, and get frustrated time and time again.

  9. I think Ingenious is the best game for 3 people.

Chess is the best for 2

  10. I would say these:

    Boogle

    Monopoly

    Scrabble

These are the only I could think about. Sorry! : (

  11. I have several suggestions. I know a wide span of boardgames and these are the ones that I feel are best three player:

    Alhambra

    Samurai

Caylus, this is a bit heavier than the average game so I think it would be perfect for three adults wanting to learn and think.

Ra, a game about bidding for what you want.

Puerto Rico, the best rated game on Boardgamegeek.com. Though the theme may sound a bit dull (producing and exporting goods from Puerto Rico), its actually a pretty fun game and flows very well with 3 players

Ticket to Ride, a fun train game for all ages. Fun to teach and even the most anti-game people love it.

Carcassonne, a tile laying game fun for everyone.

All these games have reviews and rating available on boardgamegeek.com

Because a lot of these games are not available in normal stores, I'd suggest ordering online.

www.funagain.com if in the United States

    www.germangames.com if in Canada

    good gaming <3
