  1. any of the books in the 'maximum ride' series by james patterson. they're really addictive, genre: thriller.

  2. SHE'S COME UNDONE Wally Lamb

    Summary:

"Mine is a story of craving: an unreliable account of lusts and troubles that began, somehow, in 1956 on the day our free television was delivered...."

Meet Dolores Price. She's 13, wise-mouthed but wounded, having bid her childhood goodbye. Beached like a whale in front of her bedroom TV, she spends the next few years nourishing herself with the Mallmomars, potato chips, and Pepsi her anxious mother supplies. When she finally rolls into young womanhood at 257 pounds, Dolores is no stronger and life is no kinder. But this time she's determined to rise to the occasion and give herself one more chance before really going belly up.

In this extraordinary coming-of-age odyssey, Wally Lamb invites us to hitch a wild ride on a journey of love, pain, and renewal with the most heartbreakingly comical heroine to come along in years. At once a fragile girl and a hard-edged cynic, so tough to love yet so inimitably lovable, Dolores is as poignantly real as our own imperfections. She's Come Undone includes a promise: you will never forget Dolores Price.

THE TRIBES OF PALOS VERDES Joy Nicholson

-Fourteen-year-old Medina Mason despairs as her parents' marriage disintegrates, her twin brother grows distant, and other girls shun her. While her heart-surgeon-to-the-stars father takes up with tennis-skirted bimbos, and her mother doubles her weight bingeing on angel food cake smothered in peanut butter, Medina embraces surfing with a ferocious intensity -- and a hidden agenda: No one can see her crying in the waves. First-time novelist Nicholson has captured the California-coast culture of surfing cliques, the ''tribes'' of the ultracool Bayboys, and the ornamental towel girls who open their beers. Medina, a gawky lone surfer girl, shows what it's like to feel ''6 million years old'' way before your time.

-Medina Mason is a defiant, awkward newcomer to the affluent beach community of Palos Verdes, California. As her parents' marriage disintegrates and her beloved brother falls prey to the temptations of drugs and the lunacy of their mother, Medina surfs to survive, finding a bitter solace in the rough comfort of the waves. This is the moving story of growing up "different," of the love between siblings, and of one girl's power to save herself.

      -220 PAGES, Quick read

  3. Well this all depends on what kinds of books you like.

Nickolas Sparks is a great romance writer.

Chuck Palahniuk is interesting writer with books that have stories that are unusual.

I did a report on The Partner by John Grisham one time it was great. You might like it if you like fast page turners books about law.

The First 48 by Tim Green is also a good thriller.

  4. Hey,

The clique is a good one by Emily.C, it's what i did my book report on :)

    xxxx

  5. try anything by Jerry Spinelli. depends on how old you are. Twilight..maybe. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale.

    songs for the Goose girl:

    Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson

Pocketful of Sunshine or Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield

    Breathe (duno who its by)

    and other songs like those...

    Twilight-

    Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis

One in a Million by HM

    One Love by (?)

Over My Head (Cable Car) by The Fray (if ur doing anythig after the first book)

  6. Try Mr. Vertigo by Paul Auster. Though, if you're the kind of person who has to ask what book to read for a report on Yahoo Answers, I'm not exactly sure you'd like the book. It's about a boy named Walt who, after abandoning his aunt and uncle, meets a man who promises to teach him how to levitate. Walt thinks the man is just bullshitting him. So he promises to go with the man and if he can't teach him to levitate within a year, he can kill him. Please, please read this book. It is the best book I've ever read, everyone will want to read it after you've told them about it. And for a song to fit the mood of the story, I STRONGLY suggest "The Best Is Yet to Come" by Frank Sinatra. Listen to it and look up the lyrics and you'll see why.

Here's where you can read the begining of the book on Amazon, as well as the synopsis on the back of the book.
