I took a series of beginning knitting classes many years ago and want to pick it up again but I've completely forgotten everything I learned. If you could recommend only ONE book or website to learn how to knit, which one would you recommend?

Thank you!

  1. The Vogue Knitting book.  You can probably find it at the library.  Lots of detailed drawings and photos to do step by step.

  2. theres a book called chic knits for young chicks http://books.google.com/books?id=oIUh1-4...

thats a great book (thats how i learned how to knit)

or search how to knit on www.videojug.com

  3. this is it. its a beginner's knitting dvd, and i swear it could teach a monkey how to knit. seriously the easiest and best knitting instruction ever!

    http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Beginners...

ps. the vogue knitting book is good if you already know how to knit, but deciphering pictures and trying to figure out what exactly the instructions want you do is tricky and not good for a beginner.

  4. This site has learn to knit page.  Just click at the top left hand side of page.

    http://lionbrandyarn.com/

    They also have free patterns.

  5. Have you been to KnittingHelp.com?  Really nice videos about all kinds of knitting techniques.  Another nice feature is that the techniques are shown in both English and Continental style knitting.  There are some nice free patterns there, too.

  6. http://www.alfolo.com

  7. http://www.knittinghelp.com/videos/advan...

I went to this website and found great videos.  I found out that I did not know how to perl!
