Best books or study material to take up cisco certifications CCENT or CCNA?

is it worth enough to follow CISCO press books as iam new to this networking(basically commerce graduate) plz suggest me whether i can directly read these books or should i pick some networking basics before getting into these books

it will depend on how you are more comfortable on learning cisco material. your best bet is to start learning network first and get the basic knowledge as cisco books will start off teaching you from that point. if you school offers cisco academy it is worth taking.
