Best brand/model for writing?

Im going into first year uni next year (english, history) and would like to purchase a nice pen to use for all my writing. Is there a certain brand or model that stands out? Price is not an issue because how expensive can pens get, right?

Mont Blanc pens can easily reach the $1,000 price range but if you just want a nice pen under $200, Pelikan makes a beautiful instrument.  I've had mine since 2003 and I love it!

A Parker pen if you want to be fancy, or if you want a nice writing pen, a pen from Partners. :)
