Viva is best if you are cleaning and want to rinse and re-use.  My husband uses them for cleaning and waxing the car.

Bounty is good for all purpose stuff, wiping up spills, drying your hands, etc.

I think it depends on what you're using them for.  I usually buy store brand paper towels because I put them in the same category as trash bags.....something you buy just to throw away anyway.

Many store brands are just as good as name brands but much less expensive.  Most say "compare ours to" and I have a sneaking feeling they're made by that company but not advertised/marketed so they're sold for less.  Hmmmm.
