  1. There is a difference between diving and surfing wetsuits--surfing wetsuits tend to focus more on flexibility while diving wetsuits focus on keeping you warm.  Not that you couldn't use one for the other.  Surfing wetsuits are usually one piece whereas diving suits either come as a farmer john style with jacket/vest or a "single" piece with an extra layer on the torso--check out O'neill's 7000J.

  2. The best wetsuit is one that fits.  If you have a wetsuit that doesn't fit properly, you'll be cold, or uncomfortable.

Most of the stretchy suits make fitting easy, but aren't as warm as the fitted style of wetsuit.

Go to your local shop, and try a bunch on.

  3. I'm a scuba diver and I LOVE my Henderson hyper-stretch. This wetsuit is able to stretch 2.5 its sizes in all directions. This is great for woman (or at least for me) because my body type doesn't fit all manufactures sizes and isn't all one size (example: My pants are a size 8, but my top is a 6). This suit adjusts great!
