right now i have a vizio 27in that maxes at 1080i supposedly. but my standard cable shows look worse (less sharp) then the old tube we have.

what are some good budget hdtv's that will support 1080p? and are refurbished hdtvs a feasible choice to look at or steer clear of? this will be a bedroom television.

by buget i mean well under a grand. i've seen some on newegg and tigerdirect and froogle.

  1. First of all, don´t listen to that free playstation 3 nonsense, that´s how people get reaped off.

If you´re looking for a 26 inch (more less) tv then you don´t need it to be 1080p. In small tv (22-32) 720p looks perfect, you won´t notice the difference because it´s too much pixels in a small display. You start telling the difference in 40 inch or up. Don´t be cheap when buying a tv, I recommend samsung, right know it´s the best brand. ´DON´T  buy tv´s like vizio, insignia, magnavox, because they are a peace of ****, even if a 22 inch samsung costs the same as a 26 vizio, go for the samsung, believe me it worth it. Last but not least, try to buy a new model of the tv because, it´s always worth it when it comes to electronics, new tvs will come with a pc input also.
