  1. Interesting, now I'm thinking about using my SKS no bullets but just the grenade launcher. Kill em and clean em all at one time. I've seen deer run off after being shot with 7 mags, .308, 30-06 and many other large caliber rifles. needless to say the one on the the butt stock end of the rifle was the cause of this and not the round. Ive seen deer taken with .22/250, 223 and drop in their tracks. but then again we dont trophy mounts on my land and have a good size pot for the one that makes the earhole shot.

  2.  What a joke some of these people are.

#1 - To the guy who wrongfully claims using a .223 or 5.56 on deer in Texas is illegal, you're a moron. Please do us all a favor and shoot yourself in the face with your .243.

#2 - There is nothing wrong with using .223 or 5.56 on deer. I've killed a bunch of them with it and they don't wander around or run off. Just because you need a bigger caliber because you can't make a good shot and you need the extra energy to make up for your lack of accuracy doesn't mean that everyone else does.

Go pick up some good hunting ammo, practice with your rifle and have good hunt and don't listen to the rest of these f*****g idiots here.
