The Boltbus seems to be the best option at this time.

For a few bucks more tho I would take the train, depending on where in NYC you need to end up.

The BoltBus is nice, but unfortunately the train now is way more than "just a few bucks more". Amtrak is quoting $77 one-way, I've paid $13 on Bolt Bus the last two times I've used it. It takes about two hours, though try and avoid the late afternoon runs as that puts you into major traffic...if you can't avoid that, allow three hours.

I agree Bolt Bus will be better. You need to make reservation early.

Also, you could also try slow approach which is by taking SEPTA R7 to Trenton, then NJ Transit's Northeast Corridor to New York City Penn Station.
