  1. No antivirus is best unless you buy one. All demo versions brings you popup's only and it keeps insisting you to buy the original version as message when ever you login. Any way Avast or AVG will be suitable

  2. I vote for avast, mainly because of the resident protection, and it seems to be the least crippled av software when you don't pay them for the full program.

  3. There is an antivirus called Eset NOD32. I have it and it works really great. I plan on buying it when my free trial runs out.

  4. Hi pappu

use only avira antivirus iam using it from two years and iam having good time really

    download it from here

    http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/dow...

and keep updating it bro :-)

  5. Avast would be the best. You just need to register every year for free. Absolutely no nagware, more complete than avira antivir PE free and AVG because it has anti spy ware, anti virus, and antirootkit.

  7. AVG

  8. I provide you a website called www.downarchive.com where you can find a lot of free antiviruses. there is a link called antivirus in that website where when you click you can get a lot of antivirus

  9. Hello,

If you want a free Anti-Virus effective and which does not slow down the system, get AVG.

    Bye

  10. Most malwares are designed to attack popular

antivirus products (like Symantec, Norton), but since free anti-virus product is much less used, it's capable of fighting the viruses when industry leaders fail.

According to an article by the Washington Post,

Norton Antivirus had one of the worst average response times

for providing virus definition updates based on the worst virus outbreaks,

lagging behind every major competitor, including NOD32, Kaspersky,

Quick Heal, F-Secure, Sophos, Avira, Trend Micro, F-Prot, Panda, Protector Plus, AVG, avast!, ClamWin, and McAfee.[6]

Symantec/Norton Live update are responsible for BSOD ( Blue Screen Of Death )

for millions of PC in China

I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4. It now protects against spyware, rootkits,

and other forms of nonvirus malicious software. Best of all, it's free for personal use.

Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do

a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.

Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.

Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files

automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.

This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,

and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You

must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files

from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do

not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
