Best buy, Stop & Shop, Wal-Mart, or Target. Which would be better for a job?

I am searching for a job.. and I'm also wondering, I'm a student who is 15 years old and am turning 16 also. I am an asian, and I am an american citizen. I have been working with landscaping for people, and gardening and etc, but I feel the need of a stable, job.

From the places listed above, or anywhere else that you reccommend, which job would be the best?

and how old do you have to be to work? I heard you have to be at least 16 but is that true? is there any other way for me to work?

  1. Not sure what your race and citizenship has anything to do with applying for a job.

Regardless, Target is a reputable company that pays its employees competitive wages and gives back to the community.

I'm almost certain you can work limited hours at age 15. You should verify this beforehand by calling the Target Human Resources Department.

    Best of luck!

  2. Well first and foremost make sure you get your workers permit and that you make it clear to these companies of the limitations of your work availability. In CA minors are not permitted to work past 9pm during school nights ( I think, but check on this!) Also, what kind of job would you like to do. If it's mostly stock and inventory I would suggest Wal-Mart or Target. However if you're looking for a variety of options I suggest Best Buy.

I've been working for BBY for a couple of years now and have been able to work in various departments which keeps me from getting bored of a mindless, repetitive job. It's a great company with great ideals, although some store management sucks the company is great. The pay is very good compared to Target and Wal-Mart and you get a HUGE discount!

Regardless of who you decide to work for, don't forget school comes first! Don't buy into the hype that you can work for Best Buy forever. It's a great company and if retail is your passion then stick with it. But if it's not then always put school first!

    Hope this helps!

  3. yes you have to 16 i  thank that wal-lmart would be better job
