Best camera for a 16 year old girl?

You really should be more concerned with the quality of the camera and the pictures it takes, rather than one that is cute and  pink.  So you are probably not very serious about photography.  Any camera should satisfy your needs.

But if you want good pictures, get a Canon Powershot.  You can't go wrong with them, and they come in a variety of models and prices.

Just make sure you get a small case to keep it in to keep it from getting damaged.  And always use the wrist strap when it is out of the case so you don't drop it.

That really depends on the girl.  Some girls that age are really into photography and can use a single lens reflex with no problems!  Others just want something cute and pink for Myspace self portraits.  And there are all sorts of in between 16 year old girls.  What type is she?
