Best car/convertible for my grandmother?

My grandma is looking for a vehicle that gets good gas mileage, is somewhat trendy/stylish, and not a van,truck, or SUV. She would probably prefer it to be under $30,000. Thanks for your help!

I have your answer, I'd suggest you invest around $25,000 for a used 06-07 Saab 9-3 convertible.  The quality and styling you'll purchase will certainly outshine other convertibles in this price range.

You'll be getting a 40-45 thousand dollar vehicle at a deep discount by buying used.  Saab has a unique ability to produce cars that age extremely well and even when 6-10 years old appear very modern due to the unique design and slow paced design changes customary to european cars.  

Put her in the seat of a Saab 9-3 convertible and then some of the other choices and the choice will be obvious...

u should tell her to get a chrysler sebring. pretty sporty and fuel efficient.

whatever you do dont buy a saab... those cars are really high maintenance and expensive to maintain... stay away from volvo too...

Toyota Solara.. 2000-2004 trendy safe stylish and powerful yet fuel efficient.. plus its a toyota so it will run forever..

Chrysler Sebring.. 1995-2000 are the best years... you can still find some ones with low miles on ebay.. i saw one with 40k miles and it was  a 99... these are fuel efficient, safe fun to drive and very popular...

Mazda 6 4 cylinder models only... safe fun to drive.. head turnder...

Hyundai Sonata (LX or GLS) sporty looking fast safe!! comes standard with six airbags and electronic stability control.. V6 gets 30 miles to glln. stellar warranty. 10 yrs 100k miles.

Nissan Altima.. very sporty.. 5 star crash rating.. side airbags very nice for the price...

toyota camry.. stylish reliable well built most powerful camry ever...

Pontiac G6 convertible.. nice.. reliable well built safe.

Ford Mustang V6 model.. of course its trendy yes its safe and  way under 30,000.00 lots of style for a cheap price

all the cars i have mentioned at top are very very good cars... easy to maintain and should meet all of your requirements.. they should cost no more than 24,000 maybe even lower if the dealer is giving them away or you find a good price...
