Best car insurance ?

I am 24 and will be 25 in March. I just moved from Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia for work. I just graduated college and started working. I am in the process of getting car insurance. I have been covered in Alabama with State Farm insurance. I called to see if I could just switch the policy over to the state of Georgia but they said I have to start a new policy. I was covered under my parents which was a lot cheaper. I know my rates should go down when I turn 25 in March but I have to get insurance now. What would be the best insurance to go with. I have a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. I have had 1 speeding ticket and 1 wreck. There wasn't another car involved in the wreck and my car was totaled. Both the wreck and ticket were around 6 years ago. A couple questions.. Does my credit get checked when getting a quote for car insurance? Will my score go down each time I get a quote? My score is around 750.

  1. Try to possess as much information as you can maybe is one option, however it is time consuming, here is the one i have ever had good experience with.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  2. If you are concerned about costs, get rates from multiple insurers that you would feel comfortable with (When I did mine, I did Allstate, State Farm, Nationwide, Cincinnati etc and it turns out that the one I was covered under with my parents before they switched to Allstate because Allstate was cheaper for them was actually cheaper for me). Your credit score will most likely be checked and it won't go down unless you have 3 consecutive checks. Your credit score is very high so you have nothing to worry about. If your ticket was that long ago, I'm sure it's off your record (I'm pretty sure they only keep it for 5 years).

  3. You will be fine but I have had Farmers Insurance for 35 years and they cover everything and are there if you have a claim.

  4. needhelp, I recommend you call a local auto insurance agent to help. Since I live in New Jersey I can't suggest an agent in Georgia, but here is an online resource that can help you. http://www.autoadviceonline.com/Free-Aut...

    Hope it works out

  5. Yes, you will need to get a new policy in Georgia as each state is its own entity - BUT, you may have discounts that carry over from your parents policy if you are rated on it.

  6. For auto insurance the obvious way to get a very good rate is do a policy comparison on car policies. Make certain that you choose similar policies with the same limits, auto type, zip code, etc so that all things are an accurate comparison.

What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have top name insurers and will give many prices on car insurance polices.
