  1. Well you didn't say any budget so i would say a Merc S class with adaptive cruise control. Meaning once you set the speed limit you can take your foot of the brake if there is a car in front of your car it will automaticlly slow down and match the car in front of your car speed. When that car moves away it resume the  speed you set it at. Or you can buy a Lexus LS this take it even further have the same feature with the Merc but this one will steer for you automaticlly  to stay within the white lines of the freeway. And it can also park it self for you. Basically you buy that car you can have a nap on the way home ;)

  2. Most problems are related to poor seating adjustments.  Most of econo boxes the seat does not tilts and no lumbar support.  You need a car that you can adjust the seats. The more adjustments the better.  Brand does not matter, but I have excellent experiences with domestics cars.  If you can, get a small pillow for your lower back also, adjust the seat a bit closer to the wheel so you knees bend some.  Driving with a straight leg is very tiresome and hurts your lumbar area.  Kind of adjust the seat like you would on a recliner or lazy boy chair and work from there.

Consider exercises to strengthen your leg and back muscle.  That will give you extra support and improve circulation.

I know this since I drive long distances, like 18 hr drives and more.  My record is 24:15 drive non stop from Killeen TX to Newport News Virginia.

  3. I would think something like an Accord or Civic, that is very responsive, fuel efficcient and moderately comfortable would sufice.  You don't have to use much for to stop a smaller car as you would something larger.  Get a nice pad for your tush also.

  4. Why not move closer to where you work instead to reduce your drive time.

  5. Monster Truck or a M1A1 Tank that way there will be no traffic jam for you---just drive over everthing.

Try the beads that cover the seat, you can get them at Wally World or auto parts.

  6. 4h a day? Good god... if you can't change your work and you're going to work there for a longer time you'll have to move closer to your job or you'll become nuts

  7. Cadillac Deville, I had one for a while and I was always in comfort, its like travelling around on a large leather couch.
