Question:

Best cartridge for guided Sasquatch hunt?

I'm hopin' to bag a bigfoot, what cartridge/firearm would you use to hunt one of these mythical beasts? I'm leaning toward the .30-378 Weatherby Magnum, excellent energy, flat shooting, and accurate, as most shots at bumbles are LOOOOOONG range, I'd really like to get one up close with a .460 S&W mag also. In the .30-378 Weatherby I'm thinking of using the 110 gr. hornady v-max bullet loaded to near 3900 fps, any suggestions?

  1. Actually I'd think the best thing to shoot a sasquatch with would be a dart carrying a GPS transmitter. Just think. If you could locate where the d**n things actually LIVE, you could seed the area with remote-broadcast cameras and make MILLIONS with a live sasquatch reality show. Sure, a bigfoot corpse would bring a certain amount of fortune and fame, but a live video feed that you could sell to HBO and countless scientists would become a career, and make you richer and more famous by the year. China would pay you millions to hunt and tag a yeti for them. Think of what you could do with that kind of money and influence. You could buy a wooden sailing ship and go in search of giant squid next, and have money left over to burn! (Giant squid are no longer found because the noise of motorized boats drives them to the depths...If you wanna find them, you have to SAIL!)

  2. Don't be a wuss!

Go out with just a .22 LR handgun and a bowie knife.

Provoke a charge and take the critter on with the bowie knife.  After he's down, you can use the pistol to put a bullet in the back of his head for insurance.  Or if he gets you down, you can put the muzzle in your mouth and pull the trigger.

  3. Stab, grab, and bag.  Pepper spray and rubber bullets would do the trick I want to see him alive take as many pictures as you can.  I have seen bigfoot once I gave him a Bud Light didn't have my camera handy

  4. Are you aware that in some States Sasquatch is actually protected?  One guy I know of uses a twelve gauge pump with 3 n 1/2" slugs when he Big Foot hunts.  I'm of the camp 'leave 'em alone unless they attack.'  Seriously, the only reason I would ever shoot a Sasquatch is in self-defense or defense of another person.  We don't know what they are if they are even real.  Are they some old hermit suffering from dementia and living alone in the woods?  Then you'll be charged with murder.  Are they are a rare, as of yet undiscovered species of North American ape?  Then you could be charged with destroying an endangered species.  A friend of mine believes that Sasquatch is Cain's kin.  The Lord placed a mark on Cain that if anyone killed Cain he would be cursed seven-fold.  Do you really want the Lord to visit a seven-fold curse on your head?  Hunt legitimate game instead!

  5. a bazooka with heat seaking missiles

  6. Plasma pulse rifle with under slung plasma torpedo launcher.

  7. Blanks would be of the most use.   THey would do everything you need them to do on a Sasquach hunt with no risk of hurting your friends too bad.

  8. you cant hunt an endangered animal.its not legal.and even if you could you would not see one if you had anything with powder smell to it.you would probly be better off trying to trap one.you might even catch one of these shenooks trying to grow pot out there.happy hunting

  9. Remington 700 BGS, 416 Rem Magnum. 400 grain Hornady soft point ammo. I have one with a Vais muzzle brake on the shelf if you need one for a Sasquatch hunt.

  10. Well, I would want to get up close and personal with my Winchester 1300 Defender 12 gauge. I would empty all seven 3" magnum slugs right into his heart and then finish him off with a coup de gras to the head with my Ruger Vaquero .44 magnum.
