Question:

Best centrally located hotel in Dublin, Ireland?

Looking for a good hotel that's clean and reasonably quiet, I know it's the city center so that's why I said "reasonably" quiet. Doesn't have to be fancy, priorities are cleanliness first (older is down ok as long as it's clean), location second.

Thanks!

  1. The Westburry Hotel just off Grafton street, its very central but because its kind of down a lane type thing its fairly quiet but it absolutely gorgeous inside!!!

  2. I think most of the hotels are alright.....

Maybe have a look at trip advisor.  I live in Ireland so haven't stayed in any hotels.  Sorry.

  3. A few years back we stayed in the Brooks Hotel.  Great location, we could walk to Grafton St. and Temple Bar, Trinity College, etc. The hotel had a nice calm feel, nice place for a good breakfast to start the day.  We had two rooms.  Only problem, one room was on the back of the hotel, overlooking a pub/restaurant that was open late on a Saturday night.  We could hear the loud sounds from their kitchen and the workers yelling back and forth in the alley.  We were so exhausted from the trip from the US that we collapsed and slept right threw it.  The 2nd night was a Sunday night so no late night noises but you might want to ask about when reserving a room.

  4. Well theres a huge number of lovely hotels in the city centre - but you'll pay for them! Being from Dublin myself I've never actually stayed in any of them - but if money isnt an issue then any of the hotels around Grafton Street (check out this website - http://www.goireland.com/BLOG/default.as... ) I would stay away from hotels in Temple Bar, because although its a great fun area to visit, it could get noisy at night as theres such a huge night life there. If you're wondering about any specific hotel then I can give you a pointer if you want!
