Question:

Best cheap noise-cancelling earbuds?

I'm looking for a set of inexpensive earbuds, and I'm somewhat flexible because I'm not looking for the superb-est sound quality or ultra-comfortable-est fit, but what I do want is very good blocking of outside noise because I hate it when I have trouble hearing my music over the yelling of my little siblings or the roar of the lawnmower. They also have to be cheap, preferably under 30 dollars or so. What are your reccomendations?

Oh, I'd also love it if they have good bass because I listen to a lot of metal (slipknot anyone?)

  1. I second or third the motion on skull candy. I bought some for my daughter to replace her ipod earbuds. She loves them - you can get them in different colors. It seems to conform to the ears.

My wife is quite picky and even she likes them. The sound, the look, and the fit.

  2. that guy was right SkullCandy is the best but he is mistaken there are SC earbuds that are only $$20 at FYE

and the sounds using them are phenomenal! (slipknot sounds louder than usual with these earbuds)

  3. Mine aren;t exactly cheap, but own a pair of Shullcandy TI's (white and gold).  They sound amazing. I have never heard any thing as good as them before.  When listening to songs, i have found that i am noticing instruments and notes that i didnt even know were in that song before.  The headphones i bought sell for retail at around 90 dollars,  but i bought a brand new, unopened pair on Ebay for only $35.
