Best choice for cichlids? catfish or loaches?

should i get pictus catfish with the cichlids (5-7 inch max) or clown loaches? if anyone has better choices just name em.

it all depends on which cichlids you have and what tank size you have

if you have at least a 55 gallon tank, clown loaches are fine, just make sure you get at least 5 of them

also bristle nose plecos are another choice of bottom feeders, and also stay small as well
