  2. I also want to study in Italy, but just Italian language. I don't know about the opportunities in each city, but if you want to just consider learning the language, the region of "central" Italy is considered to have the "pure" Italian language (almost no dialects). Cities: Lucca, Pisa, Rome, for example.

    The south (Sicily for example) has very strong dialects, it's almost like another language than Italian.
