I am currently a student of class 12 and am planning to pursue further studies in USA. I want to pursue robotics in the future. I would like to know what field that falls under (electrical/electronic) and which are the best colleges to pursue it. Any other help and info will also be very useful

  1. Stanford and MIT have the top robotics labs in the country, followed by many other good universities - Berkeley and CalTech, for example - but they are all very competitive.  Many smaller schools have decent programs as well.  Look into electrical engineering, bioengineering, and biomenetics.

  2. Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh along with MIT have well-respected programs in robotics. Realistically, however, for a beginning undergraduate any university with good electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering programs would be a fine place to begin. Robotics is an advanced subject, one you would not work on until after completing a number of core engineering courses. Most people who work on robotics do so in pursuit of a MS or Ph.D., not a B.S.

  3. M.I.T.
