Question:

Best commute method from Manhattan to Greenwich, CT?

I will be doing the reverse commute from Manhattan to Greenwich, CT for my new job. The two options I know of is to either drive by car to Greenwich or to take the Metro-North to the White Plains train station and from there to either take a cab or have a car parked near the station to drive to the office. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  1. RC give you wrong direction.

Best way will be Metro-North's New Haven Line.

Purchase ticket from Ticket Vending Machine or Ticket Window  which cost $10.75 peak one way, off-peak one way $8.

Round trip peak cost $21.50 and Round off-peak cost $16.

If you're travelling daily, weekday pass is $76.00.

Or best way will be purchase your ticket with credit/debit card via MNRR's WebTicket which save you 2%.

  2. How about taking the train from Penn Station out to Port Jeff and then take the Ferry? You'll be going opposite rush hour both directions.

  3. You know, the Metro-North train does go to Greenwich.  You can take a train right there.
