What is the best computer program to use for balancing my checkbook? I've heard of Quicken but never used it. Is there anything else & what do you like the best? I do all of my banking online so I would love something that fills in my electronic debits into the online checkbook if it exists! Don't know if I'm asking too much!!

  1. For personal banking, Quicken or Microsoft Money are both useful.

If you use a PC Microsoft Money may already be on there. As you set up each initial account, it will pull the information from your online banking to fill it (with your permission/passwords), then you modify each transaction by allocating a category. Then in the future, payments to the same vendors will be categorized the same way. It is very user friendly and does allt he data entry on its own.

  2. find out which program you bank supports...

i would recommend quicken before microsoft money...
