Best conditioning rides for the Tevis?

I am working on conditioning my horse for the Tevis, an endurance ride. What are some good rides to try, preferably in California, to help condition my horse and myself for such a huge deal?

Don't really know what Tevis is  I'm out here on the east coast but .Find out how long the class is.Mark out a rout like the one you will be on or even try to get on that rout it self. goes easy watch ur horse and increase your time alittle each time It might take  some time to get in shape for this
