Best contact cleaning solution for sensitive, dry eyes?

I'm new to contacts (just bought them and haven't even worn them yet, non prescription, which means I haven't been to an optometrist yet but I will very soon), and I just need to find contact cleaning solution that would suit my eyes because mine are really sensitive and dry. When I get an allergic reaction they become red and itchy when I don't take my allergy medicine, so whats the best solution for my problem?

  1. I like the Opti-Free Replenish formula.  It's the best for my sensitive eyes.  Don't use Renu - it hurts my eyes really badly.  Also, please don't put those contacts in until you talk to a optometrist.  You could scratch your cornea, ruining your ability to wear contacts and causing intense pain for days (like even morphine doesn't help) - my best friend scratched her cornea, I took her to the hospital, and it was h**l for her.  She can never wear contacts or get laser eye surgery so she will be wearing glasses at all time for the rest of her life!

  2. for sensitive eyes, i would recommend AMO Oxysept since it does not contain any preservatives.  it's available at many drug stores like Longs, CVS, Walgreens, etc.

it is VERY IMPORTANT that you follow directions for this product because it's unlike multi-purpose solutions like opti free or renu.

you can find directions and product info here:

    http://www.amo-inc.com/products/eyecare/...

the product comes with a container for contacts, disinfecting solution and neutralizing tablets.  pleaser remember to READ and FOLLOW DIRECTIONS! serious injury can result

  3. ReNu

  4. i use the original solution " opti -free replenish multi - purpose "

i told my doctor i have really dry eye so he told me to use

"lens plus , sterile saline solution "

you can get it at shop-ko and probably wal- mart.

soak it with this when you take it out and continue with putting it in the case and add solution.

you should blink more often , it might help
