Best cordless phone for distance?

We had a GE with a Do not disturb button, loved it but it got to where it would just shut off in the middle of a conversation, it was old. Well we bought another GE 5.8 ghz and it sucks. We want something that we can take outside and talk on. This new one we have we could be in the other room and there is static. So whats the best cordless phone with do not disturb button for distance?
