Best country?

Question

Give a country which is rich with little poverty, high standards of living, good infrastructure like roads, ralilways and with very little violence, less crime rate.

The country need not be a superpower as the superpowers always have terrorist attacks and anxiety prevails and it need not have a powerful army, navy and nuke bombs

I agree with Caron J the current exchange rate is £2 for every $1. Furthermore the UK has free health care, parts of the UK has free university, and being a welfare state their is almost no homelessness.

Unfortunately Caron J the UK was attacked last year by terrorist in Glasgow and an attempted terrorist attack in London last year. The year before that was the attempt to blow up planes enroute to the US from the UK and not to mention the 7/7 bombings. Historically the IRA perpetuated terrorists attacks and alot of the landscape in the UK is designed to minimize any affect from a would be terrorist.

Pound for pound the rising star seems to point to United Arab Emirates. Not that I would like to live there coz I don't  think I can learn a new language and convert religion. By the way the country is growing, they seem to know how to put their petro dollars to good use.**
