Hello I am possibly considering one of these two bikes:

1) 1992 Honda F2 CBR, 12,374mi, has been re-jetted,-- $3,200 obo

or

2) 1999 Honda CBR f4, 20,000mi, Valves, timing & carbs done in May of this year $3,600

Both have very clean bodies, no or minimal scratches...

Which is a better deal? or are both c**p?

Thanks!!

  1. I like the older honda  doulsports they got so much power keep your eyes out for the best deal good luck with your new bike

  2. i would suggest the 99 F4, simple because technology is much more advanced in the F4, the F2 is out dated. the newer bike would be funner to ride and better handling. for a difference of 400 dollars NO Question ... NEWER more advanced, aftermarket parts way more abundant, but slowing being phased out (on the new goodies anyway). Good luck hope this helped.

  3. I'd go with the 99 is these were the final two choices in an extensive search.

Try to work on shaving that price by a few hundred. You'll want to do a coolant flush, oil & filter change, brakes if needed, and air filter. Just use those maintenance must do's as bargaining chip.

  4. The 99 is the better deal and is a much better bike than the f2.  Wrong time of year to be hoping to get a good deal on a used bike.  Atleast the f4 has had it's maintenance performed, just try to work on the price alittle.
