Best deals on platinum bridal sets?

Are there any secrets out there about how to get the best deals on platinum engagement/bridal sets? We don't have the most money but want to get the most bang for our buck.

edit: just from my experience though... my engagement ring is platinum, and by the time it came to buy wedding bands i was over the whole 'platinum' thing, my bands are white gold and you CANNOT tell the difference side by side. also, i like the glossy look of white gold over the 'satin' finish that platinum develops.

just something to think about. platinum is going to add a big chunk of change onto the cost for no real reason. just my opinion though. i got two of these bands and put them on either side of my platinum solitaire, and i'm constantly complimented. http://www.e-weddingbands.com/store/prod...

we got my rings on jewelrytelevision.com they are beautiful and i would never want another ring :) we were skeptical at first because i had only used them for gemstone jewelry...but their diamonds are great (remember that a round diamond cut will have more sparkle and hide inclusions better) they will also do an appraisal for like $50...we didn't get one because he didn't have time and it takes 2 more weeks...but we did get it appraised somewhere else at almost 3x what we paid :) anyways, check them out and good luck!!!
