  1. steve nash are freaking stupid lol that liek saying dirk nowitski was a good defender your a idiot

C:Chandler: he did a h**l of a job on duncan

PF: Tim Duncan: you cant get past him without blocking your shot

SF: Bruce Bowen: He'll be back

SG:Kobe Bryand: I absolutly hate you but he did a good job on ginobil

PG:I duuno none that have impressed me defensivly

  2. you forgot Kobe

  3. Tim Duncan

    Kevin Garnett

    Tayshaun Prince

    Kobe (ofcourse)

    Chauncey

  4. C: Duncan: he played nearly all his minutes here- about 92% of his  minutes

PF: Garnett: imagine having Duncan and Garnett on the same floor together- the two best big men defenders of the modern era

SF: Prince: great defensive player, and while I considered Artest, I'm going to go with Prince primarily for team chemistry

SG: Bowen: he's lost a step, but still a very good man defender, who can guard point guards at times

PG: Billups: has size and strength to bother the bigger point guards, and the quickness to stay with the smaller ones

I didn't include Camby- because he's one of most overrated defenders of all time (which is part of the reason the Nuggets weren't that good defensively, and the reason he got traded for only a 2nd round pick). He's a good help defender in terms of blocks, but is poor at rotating to help a teammate, and is a pretty bad man defender as well.

I didn't include Paul either- he's a solid defender, but has trouble with bigger point guards (like Billups or Deron), and tends to gamble too much for steals instead of playing consistent defense by staying in front of his man.

And I know Duncan is listed as a power forward (partly so he can get into the All Star game as a starter since he's going up against Yao, who gets all the votes), but when he plays over 90% of his time at the center position, I think that we should consider him a center.

And if Duncan and Garnett were on the same team, they'd flat out dominate the paint on defense.
