Best degree for a self employed career?

Please no links to internet sites that promise to make you money. :)

I am interested in which of my options would be the best degree (Prefer B.S.) for being self employed, contracting, freelancing, or working at home. I don't want to work at home right off the bat, but preferentially there would be a possibility for it after 5+ years.

I would prefer a degree in either -

Computer Hardware Engineering or Computer Science ..

Which do you think would be more rewarding? Or do you have any other degrees to suggest?

computer science as long as you have the a business ed base!!!   most self own small business fail not because of technical knowledge but last of business sense!!!

make computer hardware engineering your major and minor in business. With a computer science or engineering you will make a lot of money and will have no problem finding a job after graduation.
