Question:

Best diapers for really messy babies ?

So my son is now in size 3 diapers -- thus far we have really loved pampers swaddlers, and now purchased the pampers cruisers size 3. However on a number of occasions when he goes p**p it either shoots up his back or out his leg. I know he doesn't need the next size up as he is only about 15lbs and we just switched to size three after he was only in size 2 for about a month. I change him very frequently so its not that they are getting too full. What type of diapers do you like for you child - in size 3??

PS - im in canada so not sure if we have all of the same brands as the US.

Thanks

  1. I've always used Huggies.   Sometimes, though, the p**p just escapes, no matter what diaper you use.

    Good Luck.

  2. Huggies Supreme

  3. LUVS!

I'm telling you my son is MESSY he has been since day one.For example, once he even managed to have p**p coming out the top front of the diaper I always thought if they were cheep then they wouldn't work as good so. I went with huggies then pampers. When they failed us, we tried LUVS and never looked back. They hold it in good. Every once in while some will get out but I think that is bound to happen. Give them a try buy a small pack. Good luck ,

  4. Hello,

My son now wears a size 3 as well. You can buy a size 2-3 that will fit up to 22 lbs in pampers swaddler (diapers.com) This is what i did up until just recently when my son reached 22 lbs. I have the same problems with the pampers cruisers and so i use Huggies now. I used to hate Huggies when he was first born but now that he is old they fit him better. I like the regular Huggies best. I also like LUVS but i have not used them much so i don't know they hold up. I am thinking about starting to use only LUVS because they seems to work good and are a great value. I am sure with your problem about messy diapers the Huggies will work best. :) GOOD LUCK!

  5. I have always used Pampers Baby Dry... we seem to have good luck with those :-) no recent p**p explosions LOL

    I'm in Canada too :-)

  6. luvs

  7. I have always used Huggies Ultra Supreme

  8. We use Huggies Natural fit and swear by them. We tried the Pampers Cruisers once. When my pooped and it came right out the side, down my husband's shirt, shorts, sandles and plopped on the ground. We love Huggies, they are very absorbent, durable, and very rarely to we have mishaps.

  9. We used Pampers for our daughter too and always had the same problem for about a week or two during the transition from one size to the next.  Although I think a lot of the problem was on our end for not pulling them up high enough or strapping them up tight enough.  Other than that, Pampers Swaddlers and Cruisers have been great, and we did try Huggies at various stages but they just didn't seem to fit her as well.

  10. I personally use huggies. My Little one likes to have blow outs too. Sometimes she poops 4 times a day! I breastfeed her too and she is not on solids so she has "runnier" poops. Gross, I know! I found that huggies snug and dry works the best for us. After I put the diaper on I make sure the outline is in the crease of her leg. That seems to stop the leakage. As far as the up the back ones? Make certain that you are not putting the diaper on too loose. Unfortunately though, sometimes they just happen depending on what velocity (lol) the p**p comes out. I hope this works for you. Best of luck!

  11. Wow I haven't really had that problem, but may I suggest "Huggies". They are good. But my daughter for some reason does better with pampers. Good luck!
