Best dinner wine?

i like white zinfandel,lake country red. need suggestions?

Sounds like you like sweeter wines. That's fine because there are other types of wines that will fit your taste buds.

For a semi-sweet white wine I'd recommend Fetzer Gewurztraminer as a general purpose wine. Other types of Gewurztraminer are worth trying, too. Riesling wines are also worth trying - less sweet, but totally delicious.

And if you want to try the scope of wines, check out a wine tasting in your area (local wines are a great treat).  You have the option of tasting several types of wines from different wineries, so they're informative and a lot of fun. You may find some tasty ice wines there, too. (see Y/A below)

A semi-sweet red I really enjoy is Marika Nemes Kadarka, from Hungary. If you like WZ, you'll enjoy this. A decent wine shop or Mediterranean gourmet shop should have it in stock.

In the bubbly, try a sparkling Lambrusco, or Asti Spumanti for the sweetness you are craving.
