  1. tough call. i'd select yz85... yes it IS a race bike but i would prefer it over anything.

  2. Which one can your parents afford to buy & run for you?

  3. i say a yz80 are yz 85 are a ttr125 ttr125 hasa 125 engine but the same size as a 85 so its convenient im 13 5'5 and 120 pounds and i have a yz80 that rips about 70 tom 75mph but i say any type of 80 are 85 k**e kawisaki are yamaha are suzuki ktm i say dont get hond but i think yamaha is your best bet

  4. i'm about 5'7" and i started with a ttr 125 for trail riding only.

it's a perfect bike to learn on and its a 4-stroke.

but once you get more into it get a bigger and faster bike ( like i did.)

but for a shorter girl like you i'd go with an xr100

  5. hondas new crf 150 i very nice bike used mainly for recreational use or track its faster than any yamaha tt bike or yz two stroke

(it a four stroke) no mixing gas, it is hondas four stroke bike that they compare to hondas 125.

the bike is fast enough that you wont believe, for a 150 it rips and the price aint bad at all!!

and you know you are getting a quality product if it is a honda!!!

  6. At 5'3 and for recreational use, have a look at the ttr125, klx125 or crf150f.

  7. ok, first of all anyone that recommends a YZ for a play bike/ first bike is NUTS!  They have no power under about 8,000 rpms and then it comes on like a light switch. 4th gear wheelies are no probelm on this bike, looping out is no problem either!  A TTR125L makes way more sense. First, it is electric start, second it is way cheaper to but and maintain, third it has more torque and is easier to ride. You can add better parts as you pregress. BBR make a ton of engine and suspension parts for these bikes as well as the DR125/KLX125 and the CRF150.  I am 43 (yes a geezer), a motorcycle shop service manager, 20 year veteran motorcycle roadracer and have had plenty of TTR125L seat time. At 5'9" and 180 lbs I am pushing the limit of it, but a HD springs and a performace exhaust helps out. Oh yes, the TTR is WAY more neighbour friendly than a full on MX bike like a YZ also.

  8. i'd say an 80 of some sort.  actually now that i think about it.  It is called a yamaha bigwheel 80cc nice bike with realy wide tires. good for dirt roads and grass. some models do not have clutches so you don't even have to worry about that. you just use the shifter.  not too fast but fun. I rode it all the way till i was 165 pounds. i was too big for it at that point but it was still fun. i got it when i weighed 110. i was only 10.  yes i was a fat kid leave me alone
