Best dirtbike to use?

i'm a beginner so i dont have much experience. I'm 5'8 too.

So, Your a beginner, The first thing that came to my mind is well he is 5'8 so i was wondering if u would like to just start out and race or just have some fun with trails and things, Well if u want to learn how to handle the big bikes for Racine i would start off with a crf150Rb wich is a bigger version of the crf150r, But if u think u can handle it just step up too a 250. Now if you want to just trail ride, Get a crf230. Or the ttr-230.

I am 5’ 7” and have had had a 250 for several years now.  I like the Suzuki myself, but unless you are an avid rider the biggest difference you will notice is the color and how stiff they are set up. You should choose something up to 250cc; some brands make 150 and some 125 as the next size (motor) down. Suzuki makes a 125cc and a 250, but the 250 it costs (double) more also. The 250 actually has a lot of power for an inexperienced rider, so judge this on how “safe” you feel you would be.  I would go used for sure if it is for recreation as the new ones are about $3,000 for the 125 and up to $7,000 for the 250 with gear.
