what is the best downhill mountain bike for the money and preferably under $1500

Hey Anthony,

The Specialized BIG HIT would be a good choice for a Full out DH bike for around $1500.  It will be hard to find a quality Downhill bike for under $1500 unless you want to purchase a used Downhill bike.  Anyway here is the link for the Big Hit: http://wheelworld.com/itemdetails.cfm?id...  Good Luck!

A good DH bike will cost more than $1500. Now go visit your local Giant dealer. Once you ride a bike with the Maestro susp. all the other just don't seam to work as well. But don't just take my word.

To my knowledge no downhill bike is under $1500. You can find freeride bikes and dirt jumpers under $1500, but no real DH bikes. The best DH bike (in my opinion) the Specialized Demo series.
