Best driver's training school in CA?

I am looking to enroll in a driver's training course in CA, preferably in the Newport Beach - Irvine area. First off, do I need a permit to enroll in training? And what are some good driver's training institutions near Irvine? Thanks:)

The AAA offers one of the best driving schools anywhere. call your local AAA.

You only need a permit to take the behind the wheel training. They'll tell you all about it.

Yes you need a permit. Most driving schools are the same. Lots of outdated videos and lectures and drawing on dry erase/chalk boards. And hours of listening to some person drone on and on about how you should have put the turning signal on two seconds earlier then you did.
