I've never played drums, and frankly, I have no idea what to get! LOL.. Could someone please help me! I'm looking for something that's brand name and affordable. How about something under let's say $600. Thanks in advance!

  1. Get a 5 piece set. You can get some cheap ones off ebay.

  2. Well if you want one that is good sounding and lasts quite well i would say to get a Pearl drum kit. Or find alternatives liek Ludwig or Sonor.

If you are looking for one to just practise on, go for any cheap one you can find around the net.

  3. Check http://www.varietymusicalinstruments.com...  Not brand name, but definitely affordable.

  4. well im a guitar player but i have a drum set just to play around with so i was looking for a cheap one like you. and the brand i got was pulse. they are good sounding. they aren't amazing but they fine 4 a beginner. they are about maybe 300 or 400 dollars. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/P...

  5. you could get a used drum set when starting out

    like pearl or ludwig

  6. Pulse sucks. They have literally no resale value. I'd go with a bottom line tama or mapex. good luck.
