Egg shot some people may know its 200, 300, and 500 yards. Bullet group dosent matter very much, just contant accuracy, and wind drifts.

This rifle would be a savage model 12 varmint, and yes yes ofcourse save alot of money on glass. I know the 6mmbr and 6mm dasher and all those are popular but I want a round that I can find at the local gun shop. Every once and a while I may take a coyote or deer. The deer would be only head shot (does) just for the meat. The bullet of choice would problaly be hornady and the heavy side with a high BC for the wind

I have no promblem reloading and would like to get into it but, I'd just like to be able to shoot for a while before I have to. One of my close friends reloads .204 and .243 so that is an option

  1. G'Day mate i would go 4 the .308 but only if yr going to hunt a lot of deer, but if yr not going to hunt a lot of deer i would go the 243 but i wouldn't go smaller than the .223.I must admit i have shot big boars here in Australia with a .223 with Remington core lokt in a 150 gr head shot's only and i never had to put a second round in them.I also have a .308 in a savage leaver action but that stops everything..cheers mate
