  1. Protaras, Cyprus!!

Most of the hotels are situated on the shoreline of Fig Tree Bay, and Flamingo Bay, and are all within easy walking distance of the shops, bars and restaurants.

A good selection of bars, and can recommend the following restaurants; The Olympus, Il Basilico, Cafe Parko, Islnad Affiar, Blue Pearl.

From here, you are just a short drive/busride/taxi from Agia Napa. A good selection of bars and restaurants....and the clubs up in the Square if you so wish!!!

Some good restaurants to try; Tonys Taverna, The Limelight, The Avenue, and finally, Vassoss Fish Restuarant, down in the harbour. don't believe all the hype you hear about Agia Napa, its not all booze cruises and lager louts.....and whats more, the clubs start to wind down in Septemver anyway.

Take a boat trip from  Agia Napa harbour, along the coasltine, passing Cavo Greko, Konnos Bay, Protaras, Pernera, and Kapparis, finally turning back just as you reach the ghost town of Famagusta. A great day out for just a few euros!!

Weather is great in September, hot and sunny in the daytime, and warm at night. At this time of year, you will often see flocks of flamingoes migrating to the salt lakes in Larnaka.

Take a trip into Larnaca and visit some of the little tavernas in the backstreets near to the old fort on the seafront ( don't bother with the beach here, its not that great!!) If you hire a car,  take a trip into Lefkosia ( Nicosia) and have a wander through the old town. You can now walk through the border in Ledras Street, though to the Turkish Occupied north...but remember to take your passport with you, as you will need it to pass through the border control.

You could also drive along the coast and see Kolossi Castle, near to Lemesos, and the Amphitheatre at Kourion, and its also worth a trip up The Troodos Mountains.....if onlty to escape the heat!!
