Best exercises to improve hurdling form?

The obvious answers is just to practice jumping over the hurdle, but are there any other ways to improve my form? and if it makes a difference, i'm doing 300m.

  1. The 300 is a little different than the highs, but you can do drills that are the same.

    Practice wall drills, that is where you stand beside the hurdle and do trail leg action, then place the hurdle against a wall and do lead leg action.

    Place hurdles on the track so they are close together. Walk over the hurdles, bringing your lead knee up high and step over the hurdle, now bring the trail leg around and up so as to step over the next hurdle with what was the trail leg, continue this until you have walked over all ten hurdles.

    You want to train your muscles for the leg action and improve your hip flexibility.

    You do not jump over a hurdle. The action is an exaggerated stride. You only want to increase your height above the track enough to clear the hurdle.

    The lower you stay the  less height you come down from so you can begin running again.

    You slow down when you are in the air, you only increase your speed when you are on the ground.
