Best fat sub. for cookies- applesauce or mashed banana?

Which do you prefer as far as moisture and texture?

I'm using either applesauce or mashed banana in a moderately-flavored cinnamon cookie with nuts; I know you can use prune or date puree w/ chocolate but here I do not want that to add too much flavor.

  1. depends on which one you would rather have with cinnamon, the applesauce, or the banana.


  2. for a softer texture use applesauce, for a chewier texture use the mashed banana!!
